Global Affinity Communications Inc. takes contracts that focus on environmental awareness. We work with local government, not for profit organizations and community groups to deliver environmental education and outreach programs to communities, businesses and the general public.
OUTREACH & ENGAGEMENT
We take contracts with local government that focus on engaging the public and private sectors to “think green in their daily routine” while focusing on saving money, reducing resource use and providing a positive experience. Generally we consult for local government and not for profit organizations to provide outreach on topics such as waste reduction, water conservation, septic education, energy conservation, alternative transportation and air quality.
Darrell is a Certified Energy Manager, with thousands of BC business clients and 6 years of working with BC Hydro and Fortis BC under his belt. He is capable of managing the energy needs of large institutions and can provide incredible insight on ways to improve building energy efficiency to save money and improve quality.
Lindsay and Darrell have coordinated many events over the past eight years, all focused on community based social marketing to shift behaviour to a more responsible alternative. Our main rule is that the event has to be fun and full of prizes, good food and friendly people, which helps remove many of the barriers to engagement and participation. We have experience setting up a wide range of events from a single tent/table at a market to large events with live music, food trucks and guest vendors.
Lindsay has exensive experience coordinating the communications of large projects/programs. She managed all web updates, social media and visual content (downloadable guides, reports and brochures and presentations) for Green Tourism Canada and GreenStep Solutions. She is also excellent at writing blog posts, articles and press releases and has been interviewed for several environmental outreach focused articles in the past decade. Lindsay wrote a regular blog for Green Tourism Canada for the past two years, and guest contribute to several other online tourism and travel sites including Orchard and Vine Magazine.
